Ferret Mk 1/2

This vehicle first entered service in 1966 as a scout vehicle. In 1974 Turkey invaded Cyprus and the 10th Gurkha Rifles were sent to defend the British sovereign base area of Dhekelia. This Ferret was sent with the Ghurkas to keep the peace. The Ferret served with the Ghurkas until 1975 when again she was placed in storage until her release from the military into civillian hands in 1993.
