Ferret Mk ½ Armoured Car
First entered service in 1966 as a scout vehicle. In 1974 Turkey invaded Cyprus and the 10th Gurkha Rifles were sent to defend the British sovereign base area of Dhekelia. This Ferret was sent with the Ghurkas to keep the peace. The Ferret served with the Ghurkas until 1975 when again she was placed in storage until her release from the military into civilian hands in 1993.
This Ferret has undergone an extensive restoration to bring it up to show standard.
I have restored this vehicle to when it was in service with the Gurkhas in 1974 and everything on the Ferret is correct to that date. The vehicle is taxed until October 2006 and is MOT exempt. Cheap insurace approx £90 fully comp. per year. She is a great running vehicle through all gears and a real eye catcher.
To see the restoration of the Ferret click the restoration option on the menu bar and then click the Ferret picture.
